About Us

The Elks Lodge on Old Mill Rd has been a gathering place where Lynchburg neighbors become lifelong friends. Pull up a stool, rack up the pool balls, or settle in for a bingo night that gets loud and competitive fast. Members consistently point to the food as a standout, and the electronic pull tab machines keep the energy going well into the evening.

This Lodge carries the full weight of the BPOE tradition, which means the fun inside the building is matched by real charitable work in the surrounding community. Fundraisers, scholarships, and service projects flow out of this address year after year, connecting the Lodge to Lynchburg, VA in ways that go well beyond a Friday night out.

The building itself has a character you notice the moment you walk in, and longtime members will tell you there is no replacing it. Whether you are a dues-paying member or a guest checking it out for the first time, the atmosphere is straightforward: good people, cold drinks, and a standing invitation to come back.

What We Offer

Bingo nights, pool tables, and electronic pull tab machines give members plenty of reasons to show up on a weeknight. The Lodge hosts private events and club gatherings as well, making the space available for groups that want a comfortable, no-fuss venue with room to move.

The kitchen turns out solid American food that members brag about in reviews, not the kind of afterthought bar food you half-expect at a club. Pair a meal with a reasonably priced drink and you have a full evening without breaking the bank.

Beyond the entertainment, the Lodge runs an active community service calendar rooted in Elks traditions: youth programs, veteran support, and local scholarships. Membership unlocks access to all of it, plus reciprocal privileges at Elks Lodges across the country whenever you travel.

"Our shag club met there on a Friday night.. we brought in our own music but it was freezing. Even though we were dancing it was still cold. Many of the members left early because it was so cold. And the charge to get in was $10. We usually meet at Phase 2 and it's only $8 there. Judging the size of the place and the lack of comfort, I believe the price was very steep"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
